Hi Everyone. Thank you for visiting my blog. I don't know about you but it seems like everyday I am faced with some sort of a dilemma. From simple everyday things to life changing decisions. I call them my "daily dilemmas." I created this blog as a way to discuss these topics with other women like myself. I will address issues we talk about all the time with our girlfriends. From recipies and where to find the best deals on the latest fashion to relationship advice, womens health and beauty,career,motherhood,childcare and much more. How to help bring your period down?


For all of the women out there with irregular periods (which I'm sure is a decent handful) and those fortunate ones whose bodies operate like clock-work, I'm sure at one point or the other you or someone you know have had this problem. Your period is late! It's nearly 8 days since your monthly visitor was expected but it's not showing up. Sometimes your body shows no signs of it while others you're PMSing full force. You know you're not pregnant and you're for the most part relatively healthy. I don't know about you guys but personally I think it's healthy to have your period and I actually, believe it or not, LIKE getting mine regularly. I think of it as natures' monthly cleanse. So here you are frustrated and confused, waiting, waiting, waiting for it to show up. Wondering to yourself," is there anything I can do to bring it down?" Well that's my question to your guys today. What are some things you can do to help bring your period down? Home remedies, safe over the counter meds, ANYTHING?

  2. i workout ALOT....a good run totally helps me....you mean how to control pms? or cramps?

    ya working out helps ALOT....when i wk out- i almost never get cramps :)

  4. I know working out helps, but I'm somewhat consistent with my workout (at least 4 to 5 times a week) and STILL it doesn't help me. I sit there for weeks with all the signs, cramps, bloating, cravings, breakouts, you name it...and NOPE...NOTHING! I've heard sex helps, but not even that has worked for me. I'm willing to see what others suggest.

  5. My Dr. told me Motrin take 4 little 200mg and it should decrease the blood flow it works for me and true about the exercise

  6. Someone once told me to mix ginger with some hot water and that should bring it down. It was a long time ago and I don't remember if it worked or not but maybe you can give it a shot next month.

  7. Step 1 - do not get pregnant : )
    Step 2 - plan a really nice evening out and have the perfect will-require-a-thong-or-going-commando outfit picked out and sure enough Aunt Flow will show up to fudge it up and put you in granny panties and on midol. : )

  9. Someone mentioned the ginger thing, trust me i've tried that several times in my younger days and it sure did work for me and quite a few people i know. Add some ground black pepper to the ginger, biol strong and drink. Good old wives Guyanese tale.

  10. WHen I was younger my gym teacher told us that working out will help allieve the pains of PMS. She was right. Too bad I am lazy and I deal with it. I sometimes pop a motrin or two, but, lately I've been drinking ginger tea and it's a miracle worker.
